At UKSEDS, we strive to keep members at the heart of our mission; continuously finding new opportunities to prepare students and recent graduates for careers within the space sector.
Why join?
Membership with UKSEDS is completely free!
A UKSEDS membership provides access to a range of benefits, including…
Eligibility to take part in UKSEDS’ competitions
Discounted entry to our annual events (NSSC, DiSC, etc.)
A networking platform with the UK’s largest student space community
Eligibility to apply for space-related volunteering experience with UKSEDS
Check https://spacecareers.uk/jobs after becoming a member
UKSEDS members are also recognised by firms, academia, and government alike as being the best and most motivated students in our field. If you’re considering a career in the space sector, then being a part of UKSEDS can help give you access to valuable contacts and opportunities.
Our alumni work in space all over the world, including at ESA, Airbus Defence and Space, Thales Alenia Space, the UK Space Agency, the International Space University, SSTL, RAL Space, CGI, ABSL Space Products, Telespazio VEGA, and more.
Who can join?
We pride ourselves with being inclusive at UKSEDS, however we do have a number of conditions for membership. To qualify, you must be a student or apprentice, over the age of 18, and either:
- are studying or working at a UK-based institution; or
- have done so in the past three years
Membership must be renewed annually to comply with GDPR regulations. Please note that by being a member of a UKSEDS branch, you are not necessarily a member of UKSEDS.
If you’re no longer eligible to register as a member, you could join our Alumni & Friends Association instead!
Finding your membership number
You will need your membership number to access a number of members-only perks. If you are already a member and you would like to find your membership number here!
