UKSEDS is headed by an Executive Committee elected for one-year terms at our Annual General Meeting during our annual conference, and a Board of External Trustees appointed for three-year terms. The current committee was elected at the 36th conference in March 2024.

Raniah Ahmed
Chair
Rani is an MEng Aerospace Engineering student at the University of Bristol, and is currently on a year in industry as a Design Engineer. She fulfilled the roles of both BristolSEDS Vice President and UoB Aerosoc Events Secretary from 2022 – 23. Rani first got involved with UKSEDS as a marketing volunteer in May 2022 before joining the Exec team as Secretary (23/24).
Divyanshi Gupta
Vice-Chair
Divyanshi is a fourth year MSc Astrophysics student at the University of Edinburgh. She is the ex-Vice Team Lead for both the UKSEDS Marketing team and SpaceCareers.uk before being elected as Exec At-Large (23/24). She also sits on the board of directors for the Space Scotland Student group.
Tanjin Huda
Treasurer
Tan is a software engineer at Airbus working on spacecraft modelling and simulation. She started her UKSEDS journey in the Outreach team, later joining the Satellite Design Competition team moving on to wider Competition Management team as Competition project manager and then as the Competition Lead.
Mohamed Ali
Secretary
Mohamed is a recent Aerospace Engineering graduate from the University of Hertfordshire. He joined UKSEDS as a National Rocketry Championship volunteer, before joining the wider competitions management team as the outreach coordinator. Most recently, overseeing the delivery of National Student Space Conference 2024 as its Team Lead. He has worked as a software engineer and his current focus lies in AI applications in space.
Anna Kalapurakkal

Anna is a recent Physics and Astronomy graduate from the University of Glasgow, currently taking a year out to focus on personal projects before starting her graduate job in the summer. She co-runs the charity ‘Make a Smile’ on their Board of Trustees, and fulfilled the roles of GUSEDS President and Head of Research 2021-2023. Anna joined UKSEDS in 2022 as an Events and Outreach Coordinator, later taking on the role of External Communications and Operations Manager on our Management Team.
Lamyea Ahmed
At-Large
Lamyea is a 4th year Aerospace Engineering student at the University of Birmingham, currently doing a master’s group project on designing a CubeSat AIV trainer. She served as the Vice Team Lead of the National Rocketry Championship and is a current member of the Early Careers Subcommittee under the Space Group at the Royal Aeronautical Society, working on an inter-university collaboration between the University of Birmingham and the University of Glasgow, facilitated by Thales Alenia Space.
