This has been another successful year for UKSEDS. Thanks to the hard work of the UKSEDS committee, the organisation is the largest it has been since its inception in 1988.
We hosted a record number of events up and down the country, and completely sold-out for our National Student Space Conference. Thanks to a Space for All grant from the UK Space Agency, we also participated in more than 15 different outreach events.
Financially, this has been our most successful yet with revenues at a record high, and a fantastic net profit which we can directly redistribute to students that need it, without the large overheads usually associated with running a non-profit.
Behind the scenes we’ve made numerous organisational and administrative changes to improve our effectiveness. We became a registered charity, gaining us a variety of benefits, and we also developed a new online ticketing platform to simplify event administration and give us easier access to important analytics.
