UKSEDS is looking for volunteers to act as mentors for school student teams taking part in the UK CanSat competition, run by ESERO-UK.
A CanSat is a simulation of a real satellite, integrated within the volume and shape of a soft drink can. The challenge for the school students is to fit all major subsystems found in a satellite into this minimal volume. The CanSat is then launched to an altitude of a few hundred metres by a rocket or dropped from a platform or captive balloon and its mission begins: to carry out a scientific experiment and achieve a safe landing.
If you wish to be a part of the UK CanSat competition this is the best way for you to get involved! If you are located near one of the teams and are interested in getting involved then contact us at [email protected].
