Join UKSEDS Rocketry!

Are you interested in learning rocketry?

This year UKSEDS’ new committee are introducing a set of new projects aimed at teaching our members all the necessary skills to build and launch rockets!

From the smallest model rockets up to the high power experimental engines, UKSEDS wants to see our members getting involved in this highly interesting area.

To help get you started we are creating a rocketry Wiki and Forum designed to provide you with all the knowledge and support you need to get started. These will be available in the very near future and available to all our members.

Alongside the wiki and forum, we will also be running three rocketry projects:

  • Model Rocketry – join your fellow rocketeers in building and launching small model rockets at your local launch club. You can also take part in the UKSEDS innovation competition to build and launch highly functional nano-avionics.
  • UKRA Certification – if you want to go for something more powerful, UKSEDS will give you support in achieving level 1 and level 2 UKRA certification.
  • Experimental Rocketry – this is a long term project with the aim to build, test, and fly a set of increasingly powerful hybrid rocket engines.
