Help needed with robots, training astronauts and designing classrooms
Technopop is a new festival celebrating science, technology, innovation and design in Stratford London. Beginning on 8 October, there will be four weeks of free workshops and events for everyone aged 6 – 19, their teachers and their families. We need volunteers to help make Technopop a really inspiring event. There is the opportunity to support all sorts of activities including: VEX Robotics workshops; tours of BLOODHOUND SSC – the land speed record car; Code Clubs; Mission X: Train Like an Astronaut, and much, much more. Every volunteer will receive training before joining any activity so all you need to get involved is a passion for making young people passionate about science and technology.
Technopop London runs from 8 October – 2 November and is open 10am – 4.30pm from Wednesday to Sunday each week. You can volunteer for one day, two days or for the full run. Whatever time you spend at Technopop, you will have the chance to work with leading science and technology organisations and help inspire the next generation of inventors, designers and entrepreneurs.
