The Space Science and Engineering Foundation invites all UK schools and science clubs to enter the
2012 UK SPACE DESIGN COMPETITION
This is the fourth year that UK schools students (ages 14-18) will be given the opportunity to compete in a live industry simulation game at NASA’s Lyndon. B. Johnson Space Centre.
The UK entry will be selected via the UK Space Design Competition which will be held at Imperial College London over the weekend of 24th -25th March 2012.
Students will be asked to work with up to 40 other budding engineers on the design of a scientifically viable space settlement. Student engineers must demonstrate exceptional creativity, technical competence, management ability, teamwork, and presentation skills.
12 members of the winning company are guaranteed a place at the international competition in the USA.
“To enter the 2012 UKSDC, teams must create a 3 minute unedited video presentation responding to a “request for proposal” from the fictitious Foundation Society.”
The final deadline for entries by is the 13th of November 2011.
