As part of the Reinventing Space Conference 2019, UKSEDS have organised Careers Launch, aimed at students, graduates, and young professionals who want to succeed within the space sector. Up to 200 attendees will gather for a series of panels, talks, and mentoring on careers within the space industry.

Attendees will experience a forward thinking day aimed at their future careers and network with potential employers.

Reinventing Space (RISpace) is a conference and exhibition focusing on low cost access to space, bringing together industry, agency, government and financiers. This year’s theme is “Novel applications that are becoming commercially viable as space technology improves”.

SpaceCareers.uk is the only early careers advice website for the space sector. It provides students with a wealth of information about working in the space sector, including careers resources and advice, interviews with space industry professionals, and advertisements for jobs, placements, and PhD positions. SpaceCareers.uk is a project of UKSEDS, the national student space society.

British Interplanetary Society

The British Interplanetary Society (BIS) promotes the exploration and use of space for the benefit of humanity, by connecting people to create, educate and inspire, and advance knowledge in all aspects of astronautics. It is Britain’s leading think tank on space development. Founded in 1933, the BIS is the world’s longest established organization devoted solely to supporting and promoting the exploration of space and astronautics.

UKSEDS

UK Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (UKSEDS) is the UK’s national student space society. For over 30 years they have been supporting students and young professionals across the country by running events, providing resources, and teaching new skills. UKSEDS alumni work throughout the global space sector in government, industry, and academia.
