UKSEDS 

UK Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (UKSEDS) is the UK’s national student space society. For over 30 years they have been supporting students and young professionals across the country by running events, providing resources, and teaching new skills. UKSEDS alumni work throughout the global space sector in government, industry, and academia.

SpaceCareers.uk

SpaceCareers.uk, a project of UKSEDS, is the only early careers advice website for the space sector. The website provides students with a wealth of information about working in the space sector, including careers resources and advice, interviews with space industry professionals, and advertisements for jobs, placements, and PhD positions.

PPS

Poynting Physical Society (PPS) is the physics society of the University of Birmingham. It was founded by Professor John Henry Poynting in 1884, pre-dating the University’s founding and making it the oldest society on campus. The society runs a large range of events for all years from careers networking to film and quiz nights, with the annual Spring Ball the highlight for many students.

oSTEM

oSTEM (Out in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) is the University of Birmingham's society dedicated to supporting LGBTQ+ students studying or with an interest in STEM subjects. They welcome both undergraduate and postgraduate students from across the university to a range of events throughout the year. As well as weekly coffee socials they have organised trips to science museums, talks from LGBTQ+ professionals within STEM and annual conferences, and are involved in outreach with local schools.
