The conference is taking place on the main University of Warwick campus, which is just south of Coventry.

Public Transport

Buses

There are regular bus connections (every 5-10 minutes on weekdays) from Coventry City Centre and Coventry Railway station to University Campus, continuing on to Leamington Spar via Kenilworth. This is provided number 12 bus run by  Travel Coventry (National Express). Coventry City Centre to the University takes about 20 minutes and an adult single fare is £1.60 while a Coventry Daysaver Ticket is £3.40. The  time table is located here,.

There are also buses run by Stagecoach linking the University and Leamington Spa directly. Details on the U1 and U2 service are located here.

Trains

Coventry Station is served by trains from London, Manchester, Birmingham and other stations on the West Coast Mainline, as well as Cross Country services from Bournemouth, Southampton, Reading and Oxford.

For more details reaching Coventry by train see the National Rail website. Note if travelling from London or Birmingham, it can be cheaper to buy tickets in advance from Virgin Trains direct, and even cheaper if you are prepared to travel via the slower London Midland services.

If you are travelling to Coventry by train it can be cheaper to buy bus travel at the same time using PLUSBUS. This is from £1.50 per day (if bought online, £2.50 if not) and allows unlimited travel between Coventry City Centre and the University (or anywhere in Coventry for that matter).

Accommodation

If your staying for both days of the conference and £70 per person per night accommodation (pppn) at the University is a bit steep for you, there are plenty of other options available nearby.

The Chace Hotel, Prices from £25pppn when sharing a twin room if booked in advance. Only really an option if you are travelling by car.

Stoneleigh Park Lodge, Just down the road from the conference venue. Not sure if it is open to the public, but worth a try. From £25pppn

Ramada Coventry, In the town centre a short bus ride away. Prices from £45pppn when sharing a twin room.

Premier Inn Coventry City Centre, In the town centre a short bus ride away. Prices from £23pppn when sharing a twin room.

Travel Lodge Coventry, In the town centre close to the station. 2 people sharing a ‘Family Room’ from £15pppn.

Hotel Ibis Coventry Centre, In the town centre. For 2 people sharing a twin room, from £21pppn.

For real budget accommodation try ABC motels, prices from £15pppn for 4 people sharing a 4 bed, 2 room apartment.
